Abstract:
The influence of the conditions in the preliminary heat treatment of zeolites, of the degree of elimination of metal cations and aluminium, and of the nature of the cation introduced and the adsorbed molecule on the oxidation-reduction properties of zeolites is examined. It is shown that the available experimental data support the model postulating the formation in zeolites of centres of different strengths, the activity of which in the formation of radical-ions is determined by the type of zeolite and the conditions in its preliminary treatment.
