Abstract:
Studies on the synthesis and properties of a new class of heat-resistant and thermostable polymers, obtained by the polycyclotrimerisation of aromatic and organoelement cyanate esters, are examined. Attention has been concentrated on studies devoted to the given reaction, the influence of the structure of polycyanates on their properties, and the specific features of these polymers due to the regularity of their structure. A number of general characteristics of polycyclotrimerisation, i.e. its usefulness as a method of synthesis of cross-linked thermostable polymers, are discussed. The bibliography includes 160 references.
