Abstract:
Various gas-chromatographic methods for analysing amino-acids, nucleic acid bases, nucleosides, and nucleotides, and also the use of pyrolytic gas chromatography to determine the composition of proteins and nucleic acids, are surveyed critically. A comparison is made of the best analytical results for mixtures of the above compounds by the use of gas–liquid chromatography and high-pressure liquid chromatography. A list of 243 references is included.
