Abstract:
The principal photographic characteristics of non-silver materials, whose activity is based on photochemical reactions, are presented. The nature of the first stage in the photochemical processes involving the recording of information (the primary photochemical reaction) are analysed and the kinetic approach to the estimation of some of their limiting characteristics is discussed. Materials are classified in terms of the primary photochemical reactions and the threshold of the energetic light sensitivity and the red limit of the region of spectral sensitivity are estimated for each primary reaction.
