Abstract:
The advances in the analysis of the structural components of nucleic acids by high-pressure liquid chromatography are described and surveyed. The general ideas concerning the requirements imposed on sorbents at the present time in order to increase the efficiency of the chromatographic process are summarised. The methods and the results of the employment of effective ion-exchange sorbents in the separation and ultramicroanalysis of mixtures of the heterocyclic bases, nucleosides, nucleotides, and their derivatives are briefly considered.
