Thermochemical Studies Necessary for the Selection of Key Thermodynamic Quantities

The present state of experimental studies necessary for calculating key thermodynamic quantities has been reviewed. A list of substances for which experimental measurements of the enthalpies of formation, entropies, etc. are desirable has been proposed. Various problems in the calculation of the standard thermodynamic quantities for solutions have been examined. A list of international recommendations on key thermodynamic quantities has been given. The bibliography contains 50 references.
