Determination of the Useful Lifetime of a Polymeric Material as a Physicochemical Problem

The principal problems of the determination of the useful lifetime of a polymeric material under various operating conditions in a given article are formulated, the disadvantages of the traditional simplified empirical approaches to solutions of problems of this kind are analysed, and the principal trends in physicochemical research, which lead to success in solving the given problem, are discussed.
