Abstract:
Studies of inorganic ion exchangers based on insoluble compounds of antimony(V) are reviewed [polymeric antimonic acid and its numerous derivatives containing one or two multivalent elements (P, Zr, Nb, Ti, Te, etc.)]. Different approaches to the discussion of their composition, structure, and ion-exchange properties are analysed. Examples of the preparation and of the characteristics of different types of exchanger are given, and their possible practical applications are outlined. 212 references.
