Abstract:
The application of the paramagnetic probe method to studies of heterogeneous systems is discussed. By analysing the ESR spectra of the adsorbed probes (nitroxyl radicals) information is obtained on the interaction of the probe with the surface of silica gel, aluminium oxide, alumina–silicas, etc. Special attention is paid to the formation of donor–acceptor complexes with co-ordinationally unsaturated cations of the surface, and to the mobility of molecules in the adsorption layer. 53 references.
