Chemistry of ureido carboxylic and ureylene dicarboxylic acids

The review presents a comparative analysis of procedures for the synthesis of ureido carboxylic and ureylene dicarboxylic acids. Chemical transformations of these compounds are summarised. New fields of application of ureido carboxylic acids in the synthesis of chiral, diastereomeric and enantiomerically pure N-carboxyalkylglycolurils are considered.
