Abstract: Model structures which explain the electrical and the paramagnetic properties of semiconducting pyropolymers are proposed. The development of paramagnetic clusters during the formation of these polymers is demonstrated, and the generality and the thermodynamic efficiency of this process are stressed. The problems encountered when applying the theory of electrical conduction in heterogeneous materials and the theory of flows to semiconducting pyropolymers are discussed. Transport phenomena involving the charge carriers in these polymers are analysed by the theory of electronic states in disordered systems. The temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity is shown to obey Mott's law over a wide range of temperature. Quantitative relationships for the pressure dependence of the electrical parameters of powdered semiconducting pyropolymers are obtained, and the influence of the structure of these materials on their electrical and paramagnetic properties is examined. 103 references.
