Abstract: Problems concerning the influence of ionic-coordination catalytic systems and of the structure of their individual components on their stereospecificity and activity in the polymerisation of dienes are considered in relation to titanium-containing catalysts. Modern ideas about the structure of the active centres and the factors determining their stereoregulating capacity are also examined.
