Abstract:
A systematic account is given of data on the most important reactions of hydrocarbons in the presence of metal-containing catalysts. The modern ideas concerning the mechanisms of the isomerisation and C5- and C6-dehydrocyclisation of alkanes are described. The role of hydrogen in these reactions in the presence of metal-containing and in the first place platinum catalysts is analysed. The influence of the structure of metallic catalysts on the mechanisms of the dehydrocyclisation of skeletal isomerisation reactions of alkanes is examined. The bibliography includes 170 references.
