Abstract:
The results of studies published up to 1983 inclusive and devoted to the synthesis and the molecular and electronic structure as well as the chemical and physicochemical properties of dinuclear and polynuclear cluster compounds of technetium are examined. It is shown that the majority of the chemical and physicochemical properties of such cluster compounds are analogous to those of the similar compounds of other d transition elements. However, a number of properties of the technetium cluster differ from those of other transition elements, which is explained from the standpoint of modern theoretical concepts. The bibliography includes 106 references.
