Development of the Physical Chemistry of the Solvated Electron

The principal results of experimental and theoretical studies of excess electrons in condensed media are examined and the physical nature of localised (solvated) electrons as well as the characteristics of the chemical and electrochemical reactions in which they participate are discussed.
