Abstract:
The kinetics and mechanism of the processes taking place during the corrosion of ceramic materials based on silicon nitride in an atmosphere of oxygen, air, or fuel combustion products and under the influence of sodium salts have been examined. The influence of the composition and structure of the materials on their stability to oxidation has been demonstrated. The influence of corrosion on the physicomechanical properties of silicon nitride materials has also been examined. Methods of protection from corrosion, and the principles of the production of materials with a high heat resistance, have been described. The bibliography contains 138 references.
