Methods for Obtaining Polymeric Membranes

Methods for obtaining semipermeable polymeric membranes have been described. Various aspects of the physicochemical processes taking place during the production of membranes from polymer solutions and melts have been examined. Methods for obtaining membranes by sintering polymers, and methods for transforming continuous films and the walls of hollow fibres with continuous walls into porous membranes, have been described. Data on the preparation of composite membranes have been given. Particular attention has been paid to methods which have found practical application in technical processes for obtaining membranes as films and hollow fibres.
