Abstract:
The deoxygenation reactions of coordinated R2SO molecules (R = Alk, Ar) that occur with the formation of dialkyl and diaryl sulphide complexes are examined. Reduction reactions of free sulphoxides involving metal complexes and ions have been classified. It is shown using specific examples which synthetic problems can be solved with the use of different deoxygenating agents and reagent systems. The bibliography includes 126 references.
