Methods of preparing perfluoroalkyl(aryl)acetylenes, their physical properties, and chemical reactivity have been reviewed. Synthetic routes to aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds from perfluoroalkyl(aryl)acetylenes have also been examined. The bibliography contains 361 references.
