Abstract:
The progress made in the synthesis of aromatic polymers based on nitro-containing monomers is reviewed. It is shown that the main processes for the synthesis of aromatic polymers using nitro-containing monomers are nucleophilic aromatic polynitrosubstitution reactions, which are effectively used to obtain polymers containing ether groups in the main macromolecular chains. A group of novel reactions that includes thermal and chemical conversion of nitro-containing heterochain polymers is examined. The bibliography includes 98 references.
