Nitroxide-catalyzed selective oxidation of alcohols and polysaccharides

Abstract: The use of nitroxide radicals in the selective oxidation of alcohols is considered. Attention is focused on the oxidation of polysaccharides as a method of preparation of polyuronic acids, aldehydes and hemiacetals.
