Abstract: We expose some selected results in finite-dimensional mapping theory and their connections with theory of inverse problems for evolution equations. We obtain new representations of solutions of multidimensional nonlinear evolution equations and those of their coefficients.

Keywords: inverse problems, evolution equations, ill-posed problems, representations of solutions, systems of differential equations, finite-dimensional mapping.
