Abstract:
This article is devoted to presenting the results of using the algorithm for constructing reference lines and angles for processing X-ray images. The problem of improving the quality of X-ray images is an urgent applied and scientific task, since the number of joint replacement operations increases every year due to the general trend of aging of the population. Doctors are faced with the task of preserving the patient's organs and ensuring the quality of life. Therefore, this issue is relevant for both physicians and engineers. The development of software implementing an improved method of constructing reference lines and angles will improve the quality of X-ray images during medical examinations. As a practical application, the case of the area of the knee joint is considered. The proposed algorithm consists of a set of steps to improve the image on the radiographs (modified Ñànny bounds detector, segmentation algorithm, expansion, reference line identification, etc.). The research results show that the software implementation of the algorithm has the effect of improving the quality of diagnosis and the development of correct methods of treatment of the affected bone areas.
