Abstract:
We consider a Rijke tube as a distributed autooscillating system. We analyze self-excitation conditions theoretically, obtain relations that determine the amplitude of steady-state autooscillations, and study their stability. The approach rests on the previously justified mechanisms of negative resistances: viscous along the tube and thermal, which is a local hydraulic resistance of the heat source zone.
