On the groups proposed by Sidel'nikov

This is a study of the matrix groups discovered by V. M. Sidel'nikov, which are close to the symplectic and the orthogonal groups. Results are obtained about the structure of the Sidel'nikov groups. They can be useful for constructing certain orbit codes and lattices.
