A mixed boundary value problem for some degenerate elliptic equations

In this article we study problems concerning the eigenvalues $\lambda^{(k)}$ and the eigenfunctions $U^{(k)}(x)$ that are regular in the domain, for a formally selfadjoint degenerate equation with mixed boundary conditions; and on this basis we investigate the corresponding inhomogeneous boundary problems.
