Existence of a ray of eigenvalues for equations with discontinuous operators

We consider basic boundary value problems for semilinear equations of elliptic type with a discontinuous bounded nonlinearity depending multiplicatively on a parameter. Using the variational method, we establish existence of a half-axis of eigenvalues for the problems.
