Trace of the monodromy matrix of an irregular singular point of a linear system of first-order ordinary differential equations

Abstract: A formula for the trace of the monodromy matrix of a singular point of a linear system of first-order ordinary differential equations of pole type or of an algebraic branch point is obtained in the form of an absolutely convergent series. As an example, the general formula is specified for a system of equations of a special form.
