Problems of personal data protection in computer retrieval systems supporting scientific activities

The article deals with personal data protection in computer retrieval systems supporting scientific activities under conditions of large-scale use of automated information systems for acquisition, processing and storage of scientific activities data. It is pointed out that solution of these questions is stipulated by a substantial gap between society development and legal regulation of personal data protection. The article also underlines the acuteness and urgency of this problem in connection with the formation and development of information society, the increase of knowledge and science in solution of socio-economic and other important tasks.
