Abstract:
The evolution of informatics as information science is examined. The objects of this science are a structure, behaviors and properties of a presentation, transmission and receipt of information. The most actual aspects of information studies are analyzed — an understanding of its nature, its role in documental communications, its economical and political significance, and also its social institutions. It is stated that information is an complicated phenomenon and notion, which is ambiguously interpreted not only in information science but also in many other branches of knowledge.
