Abstract:
In the frame of the 3D URANS equations with Spalart-Allmaras (SA) turbulence model the numerical simulation of the energy input into the stream in front of the aircraft model with an angle of attack has been performed. For the regimes considered it has been shown that the energy input before the bow results in a significant reduction of wave resistance and an increase in lift. This ensures high efficiency of energy input as a mean of increasing the aerodynamic quality of an aircraft. The effect of the energy input in front of the wings has been studied.
