On an approximation in quantum chromodynamics

Abstract: The Dirac $\gamma$ matrices are replaced by $u$ numbers in the fermion sector of quantum chromodynamics. The Schwinger–Dyson equation for the quark propagator in the infrared region is investigated in this approximation.
