Abstract:
The second order of the self-consistent field method in the theory of mesogenous
molecular crystals is considered. It is shown that the interaction of seIf-consistent
phonons and librons pIays an important part. This must be taken into account in
calculations for the correct description of the contributions of translational and
orientational anharmonieity to the development of dynamic instability and for
establishing the conditions of transition of a molecular lattice to the mesophase.
