Calculation of spontaneous magnetization of the two-dimensional ising lattice in Yang's approach

The calculation of the spontaneous magnetization in Yang's approach is considerably simplified. This is achieved by using a suitable parametrization of the transfer matrix and Caianiello's trace formuta.
