Conformal invariance of scalar bosons in Weinberg–Salam type theories

V. M. Nikolaenko, K. P. Stanyukovich, G. N. Shikin

Abstract: It is shown that in the Weinberg–Salam theory of weak and electromagnetic interactions with an associated gravitational field interpreted as a self-consistent classical background it is possible to determine the mass of the scalar Higgs boson. The assumption of conformal invariance of the Higgs boson extends the range of the effective mass spectrum to the values characteristic of the hypothetical “heavy graviton” or planckeon (maximon).
