Probability density of generalized coordinate

Nguyen Tang

Abstract: The Gibbs method is used to calculate the probability densities of generalized coordinates in a system with constant external force. In the case of small fluctuations, this probability density has the form of a Gaussian distribution, while in the case of large fluctuations it can be expressed in terms of Hermite polynomials.
