Eikonal representation for a scattering amplitude containing virtual Veneziano blocks

Functional integration yields a Regge eikonal representation for the sum of ladder diagrams describing scattering of high-energy scalar particles. The important aspect of the model is that the scattered particles exchange virtual blocks whose contribution is simulated by the Veneziano amplitude.
