On an approximate method of solving inverse scattering problems

Abstract: The generalized WKB method is used to develop approximate algorithms for finding the scattering potential from the known dependence of the phase shifts on the energy or the orbital angular momentum. Working formulas are deduced that correspond to the zeroth and second (in powers of the Planck constant) approximations of the generalized WKB method.
