Abstract:
In unrenormalized quantum field theory, representations of eikonal type with allowance for the anomalous magnetic moment of the nucleon are obtained for the amplitude of pion-nucleon and nucleon-nucleon scattering in the asymptotic region $s\to\infty$, $\vert t\vert\ll s$. The anomalous magnetic moment leads to additional terms in the amplitude, which describe spin flips in the scattering process. It is shown that in the limit $s\to\infty$ the renormalization problem does not arise. Coulomb interference is considered as an application.
