Residual interaction and rearrangement effects in atomic nuclei

E. B. Bal'butsev

Abstract: A method is given for calculating the correction to the residual interaction in atomic nuclei due to rearrangement effects. A calculation is made of the residual interaction for a nucleus with atomic weight $A=18$ (the Hamada–Johnston potential is used as the two-particle potential). For this resldual inte faction, calculations are made of the $^{18}\textup{O}$ and $^{18}\textup{F}$ spectra and the isotopic shift in $^{17}\textup{O}$. It is shown that the rearrangement effects have an appreciable influence on the results of the calculations.
