Does the $u$ channel in the $t$ plane influence the behavior of the forward differential scattering cross section at high energies?

On the basis of unitarity and analyticity with respect to $z=\cos\theta$ it is shown that $t$-channel singularities make the main contribution to the forward differential elastic scattering cross section at high energies.
