Quantum chromodynamics as a microscopic theory of superfluidity

V. N. Pervushin

Abstract: An attempt is made to solve the problem of the infrared catastrophy in quantum chromodynamics by analogy with the microscopic theory of superfluidity (Bogolyubov, 1947). A new type of excitation is introduced – the cooperative (topological) excitation of the system of non-Abelian fields as a whole, such an excitation being realized physically in the presence of a singular Bose condensate of the gluons. The spectrum of quasiparticles is found for a Bose condensate satisfying the requirements that the theory be stable and the energy of a stationary state finite.
