Abstract:
We calculate and analyze the corrections of order $\alpha_s^2$ to the condensate
coefficient functions $\langle G^2\rangle_0$ and $\langle m\bar qq\rangle_0$ in the operator product expansion of the vacuum correlation function of two flavor-diagonal vector currents
of quarks in the $\overline{MS}$ scheme. We find that for the quark condensate the
renormalization-invariant criterion of applicability of perturbation theory to the calculation of the coefficient functions is not satisfied, in particular, in the analysis of the $\varphi$ meson.
