Application of the method of ordered operators in the theory of liquid metals

G. O. Balabanyan

Abstract: The method of ordered operators is used to construct an electron theory of liquid metals and alloys. Exact hierarchies of equations are obtained for the electron evolution (resolvent) Green's function and for operators that depend only on the electron variables. An exact kinetic equation is derived for the statistical operator of the electron system, and a kinetic equation of Boltzmann type is obtained from it by appropriate approximations. Methods for finding the density of electron states and the momentum distribution function are discussed.
