Elementary excitations in the dimerized Hubbard model

Abstract: Dimerized Hubbard model with one electron per dimer is considered. The spectrum of electron and magnon excitations is calculated in the limit of strong electron-electron correlations with the help of the diagram method with respect to the inter-dimer hopping integral. The values of the dimer gap and effective exchange integral are found.
