Structural-glass phase in the lattice $\varphi^4$ model

A statistical description of inhomogeneous states in the case of structural phase transitions in uniaxial systems is proposed. In the framework of this description, necessary conditions are obtained for the existence of a structural-glass phase in the model, and its properties are investigated.
