Two-dimensional vortex structures in an anisotropic plasma

A theoretical model for describing nonlinear vortex structures of an anisotropic collisionless plasma is proposed. For large-scale structures of the type of a $\Theta$ pinch and an axisymmetric $Z$ pinch universal nonlinear partial differential equations are obtained. Self-similar solutions corresponding to explosive processes (enhancement regimes) and instanton processes are found.
