A new approach to phase transitions, thermodynamics, and hydrodynamics

Abstract: We consider a new approach to thermodynamics and hydrodynamics. The phase transition of He$^3$ and He$^4$ to the superfluid state at low temperatures is interpreted as the transition to a semiclassical nonholonomic liquid crystal.
