Configuration of networked organizations: service oriented architecture

Abstract: Increasing competition causes companies to constitute new network-based organizational forms, such as virtual enterprises, supply chains, etc. Since networked organizations are dynamic structures, their creation and modification require operational solving the problem of choosing their feasible configuration, in other words, the problem of their configuration, including choosing components and values of their parameters. Networked organization configuration is a problem of the strategic level and it includes such tasks as order configuration, partner selection, order allocation, transportation network configuration, technological resource configuration, etc.
