Abstract: The paper introduces a new line of research — intelligent search of predictors of social events (Predictor Mining); this direction lies in the intersection of Data Mining and Social Computing areas of research. The proposed approach includes an automated composition of a predictors set for the social event and then interpretation of the predictors by methods of Social Computing. Detection of protest tones in the Internet, estimation of parameters of socially significant behavior, and investigation of largest social networks members' values and strategies formation specifics are examples of problems that can be analyzed using the Predictor Mining techniques.
